Harp Seals DFW was formed in August of 2011 to advocate for the complete end of the brutal and senseless slaughter of harp seal pups on Canada's Atlantic coast. We believe that global change starts with local action and are committed to protesting Canada's fisheries industry and the Canadian government until this inhumane practice ends once and for all.
We enjoy celebrating the natural environment of the Earth. We would like to start our group by having meet-ups at meetings and events of various local chapters of the Native Plant Society of Texas and similar organizations with a compatible mission. You may like this group if you would like to learn more about native plants, native plant habitats, ecology and our natural environment, and are interested in getting together with like-minded people in Ft Worth and the surrounding area.
